A New Chapter at SG World Ltd: Alison Johnson (Business Development Manager)

Alison-cyan-1

We welcomed several new members to the customer experience team at SG World in June; and for BDM Alison it’s nearly the end of her first month with us. We asked her a few questions to see how she’s been getting on...

How do you feel as the end of your first month with SG World approaches Alison?

At SG World, I can't help but feel a sense of enthusiasm to be honest. The air is filled with the scent of fresh coffee (courtesy of my son who works at Costa!) and mixed with the energy of our products running off the presses in the factory downstairs. I am a new employee but it feels like I've been part of this family for a long time.

Why did you choose to work at SG World?

When I was searching for my next career move, SG World stood out from the crowd. Their commitment to employee growth, their innovative approach to problem-solving, and their dedication to making a positive impact on the world were all factors that drew me in. But what sealed the deal was their culture which I could sense from looking at their social media before I joined. Their team values diversity, encourages creativity, and fosters collaboration.

How Have Your First Few Weeks Been?

Despite the excitement, the first day at a new job can be nerve-wracking. You're in a new environment, with new people, and new responsibilities. But at SG World, they've made the transition seamless. From the warm welcome I received, to the comprehensive training program with Russell, they've gone above and beyond to make me feel at home!

What are you looking forward to in the next few months?

As I embark on this new journey, I am filled with anticipation. I look forward to contributing to the team, learning from my colleagues, and growing both personally and professionally. I am excited about the projects I will be working on, the challenges I will be tackling, and the impact I will be making.

Joining SG World is more than just a new job to me. It's a new chapter in my career, a new adventure, and a new opportunity to make a difference. And I can't wait to see where this journey takes me!
