SG World is delighted to announce that the latest winner of Employee of the Month is Beth Cann, Finance Apprentice!
Beth has been a member of the SG World family since February 2015 and for someone so early in her career, her award speaks volumes for Beth and her achievements.
In the time that Beth has joined the SG World family, it has become clear to anyone who has had any interaction with her that her job title just doesn’t tell the full story. Certainly, Beth is a great apprentice, having already assisted with some complex and demanding tasks, such as SG World’s recent financial audit. However that’s where her talents start and not end.
As well as her study and work-based achievements, Beth’s lovely personality and fantastic attitude has shone through since she joined us. She is always willing to help and goes above and beyond what is expected of her, with a level of professionalism and enthusiasm that does her and the business proud.
Of course, one of the hallmarks of our Employee of the Month winners is that they embody the SG World values of ‘do the right thing’, ‘do it the right way’, ‘be fresh’ and ‘be the best you can be’. We’re sure that anyone would agree that these qualities describe Beth, and for someone who has been with us for such a relatively short period of time, to have earnt such a great reputation speaks volumes for how Beth conducts herself.
It’s not just SG World who have been singing Beth’s praises from the rooftops – her apprenticeship trainer, Total People, enlisted Beth as the subject of a special business case study when she first joined the company, because she was doing so well in her role! SG World has a large number of apprentices in various roles across the business, and Beth has now cemented herself as an apprentice role model for others in the company.
Beth’s future is bright and with people like her on board, the SG World train is heading off into the sunlit uplands!
A blushing Beth told us: “Thank you so much! I don’t think I’ve done anything out of the ordinary really! I’m looking forward to using my Employee of the Month car parking space – I just hope that I park nice and straight next to Mark [Haase, CEO] every day!!’
