HSE Strategy under Discussion

In 2016 the HSE launched its new strategy entitled Help GB Work Well. The strategy consisted of six themes:

  • Acting Together
  • Tackling Ill Health
  • Managing Risk Well
  • Supporting Small Employees
  • Keeping Pace With Change
  • Sharing Our Success

Further to this, just before Christmas, the HSE announced that they’ve split UK workplaces into 19 different sectors e.g. Bioeconomy, Chemicals, Manufacturing and Waste & Recycling. For each of these sectors they’ve produced a draft plan covering Health & Safety performance, identified the top 3 strategic priorities for the next 3-5 years for that sector and listed the actions to be taken by the HSE within that sector.

The plan is to take undertake discussions in the New Year with the Health & Safety community about these plans before final publication in late 2017.  For more information visit here
