Doug Kinsman, Operations Director at SG World, has joined the BPIF Board of Directors. The BPIF (British Printing Industries Federation) is one of the largest print trade associations in the UK, helping bring together over 55,000 individuals in the print and graphic communications industry.

SG World has been a member of the BPIF for a number of years, with the association's collective strength meaning higher visibility with government, better rates from suppliers and exceptional networking opportunities - supporting SG World in their mission of 'Helping you make a difference' with their customers.

The BPIF, who welcomed a total of 3 new Directors, said on their website: 'We are delighted to announce that Doug Kinsman (Operations Director of SG World), Mark Roberts (Managing Director of Acorn Web Offset) and Robin Sumner (Managing Director of Romax) have joined the BPIF Board of Directors. All have held positions on BPIF Regional Boards, helping to represent members' views in each region.

'Doug has worked in the printing industry for over 20 years, having begun his career as a Graduate Trainee Manager with Bowaters in their Security Print Division in Northern Ireland.

'After his initial training he then moved to manage one of their divisions which operated from a site in Crewe. Having a passion for technology and recognising that IT could be an enabler for change, Doug chose to return to University to gain a Postgraduate qualification in IT with a view to switching careers. Ironically his career has now gone full circle with his role as Operations Director for SG World Ltd, where he has responsibility for both IT and software development and is now also back in charge of a printing facility - the best of both worlds.

BPIF President, Darren Coxon, said, "I'd like to welcome Doug Kinsman [and the other new Board members] to the Board as Non-Executive Directors, all of whom are highly credible appointments and will - I am certain - add huge value... In my short time as President Doug has been a great support and we've worked very well together. These appointments strengthen the Board still further and will ensure the BPIF is in secure hands moving forward."

Charles Jarrold, BPIF CEO, commented, "I'm delighted that Doug [and the other new Board members] are joining our Board as Non-Executives. Each of our Non- Executives combine extensive industry experience from a diverse range of businesses with familiarity of the scope of the BPIF's activities, and will play an active and valuable role in helping our Executive Team develop the BPIF's support for UK Print.''

Congratulations, Doug!
