Here are the steps to perform a MEWP pre-use inspection: 1. Conduct a visual inspection of the MEWP, including the platform, guardrails, base, and chassis, to check for any damage or defects. 2. Check that all warning labels and safety features are in place and clearly visible. 3. Verify that the MEWP is properly set up on level ground with all stabilizers or outriggers deployed. 4. Check the condition of the tires or tracks, and ensure that they are properly inflated and have adequate tread depth. 5. Check the hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems for any leaks or damage. 6. Test all safety systems, including the emergency lowering system, the ground controls, and the emergency stop button. 7. Verify that the platform and guardrails are secure, and that any access gates or chains are in place. 8. Check that all tools and equipment that will be used on the platform are secure and properly stowed. 9. Test the functioning of all platform controls, including the lift and drive functions, to ensure that they are working properly. 10. Finally, verify that the operator's manual and other necessary paperwork are present and in good condition.
