Your daily pre-use check isn't just a box-ticking exercise. The **HSE** and external auditors don't look for mistakes; they look for **failed systems.** When a record is sloppy or missing, it proves a failure in management control, and that's when a workplace incident turns into a legal liability. **Question: If something goes wrong today, could you instantly put your hand on five *perfectly completed, legible* checks from the last month and confidently present them to an auditor?**        **The Four Paper Gaps That Kill Compliance**    1. **The Legibility Gap** We know how site records get filled in—sometimes outside, often in a hurry, sometimes in the dark.
