SG World will be attending a Crewe and Nantwich Jobs Fair on Thursday 3rd May at Crewe Alexandra Stadium. The Jobs Fair, organised by the Conservative MP for Crewe and Nantwich, Edward Timpson, will put employers such as SG World, Morning Foods and Bentley in touch with school leavers and job seekers in the local community.
In addition to a strong nationwide sales force, SG World is a major employer in the Crewe area; most of SG World Head Office employees are from the local community within a 10 mile radius of Crewe. Although not a recognised consumer brand, over twenty thousand businesses and schools across the UK use SG World Health and Safety and Visitor Management products.
SG World is currently developing a new electronic software products division and aims to expand further into the UK and European markets. The company is in the process of building up its Training Academy which aims to help and encourage employees to develop both personally and professionally.
“Part of the success in retaining staff can be attributed to an environment which promotes home grown talent - employees are encouraged to develop and grow along with the company. This ethos is recognised at Board level where two of our Directors were recruited up from the ranks,” commented Hilary Bateman, SG World Human Resources Officer.
As a further part of SG World’s employee retention and recruitment strategy, the company is reviewing the introduction of an apprenticeship programme across its Administration, Printing, Sales and Engineering functions.
